What do you think of Clearview AI? Do you think it invades people's privacy? Or will it be an effective tool to solve crimes?

Whether we agree with this tool to be utilized lies in the credibility of citizens toward the police, and the nation furthermore. It is fair to say that Clearview AI was founded for a positive purpose, and if the police of the country use the collected database legally and properly, it can definitely provide a better world with decreased criminals. It is the thing that's applied exactly the same in the economic system. We can never say that the socialistic planned communism system is bad; it depends on the clarity of the government for using national property properly.

 

Do you agree on ratcheting up surveillance to combat the pandemic?

It is said that acting with seeing the long-term aspect of the incident doesn't always make good results, especially among economists like Keynes. Though I agree with the idea that it is a rational inference that ratcheting up surveillance might have a negative impact with respect to the privacy of citizens later, even those negative impacts have nothing to do without the ultimate solution of the problem right now. Strengthening the surveillance system, for sure, is effective in order to prevent the virus from spreading too much, and therefore, I agree on ratcheting up surveillance to take care of the most urgent problem--the prevention of further infection.
